In this academic year, the University has a total of 6,081 full-time postgraduate students, including 961 doctoral students and 5,120 master’s students (2,858 academic master’s students and 2,262 professional master’s students). In the past five years, the total number of full-time postgraduate students has increased steadily, among which the number of doctoral students and full-time professional master degree students has increased continuously. At present, full-time professional master’s students account for 44.2% of the total number of full-time master’s students in the University, and the training structure continues its optimization.
The University has a total of 2605 part-time postgraduate students. Due to the change of the national entrance examination for non-full-time professional degree postgraduates, the number of students enrolled has been reduced. As a characteristic university closely related to the petroleum and petrochemical industry, part-time graduate education has always been a major feature of the University and an important way for UPC to promote the optimization of human resources in industrial enterprises.
